Oppopinions: 2010 Cadillac CTS Wagon

My mother is currently looking for a new car. I was browsing AutoTrader and Cars.com this evening, and I came across a potential prospect.

I need your opinions on the previous-gen CTS Wagon (no V-Wagon in her price range, unfortunately). Specifically, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . It's in her budget, it's got the options that she wants, and it's at Carmax, so you can get an extended warranty, which you might need with a GM product.

So... Oppopinions please? Thanks guys!

Everything looks good other than the driver's seat which looks really worn and cracked for the car's age. And (IMO) the color combo isn't exactly a great one either.

But, the 3.6 is a good solid engine with tons of power and a great sound. The second gen CTS drives very well, though not as well as the new one. And they're good all around when it comes to reliability.

I'd say go for it if you can get over the meh looking seat and color combo.

Yeah, I'm not personally a fan of the color combo, either. As for the seat, it looks fairly normal to me. My mom currently has a 2010 Lexus RX with about the same mileage as this CTS wagon, and the leather's a bit worn, too.

Well i was also looking at cts wagons tonight because one popped up on craigslist near me.Other than the color i would say go for it. I saw someone recommend an audi avant. Hell fuck no. I'm sure your mom wants a reliable hauler with good power and economy so just don't even look at the audi unless you wanna make her life miserable but go go go for the CTS. Oh also i think that price is abut 3 grand too high. I've seen 2011 with 25k miles go for 20 grand so it's a little on the high side

dunno who said hell fucking no to the audi./ they are perfectly fine. its kinda like saying all GM stuff is crap. yea,. they had some bad apples (looking at you 1.8t) but the 2.0L is a fantastic motor. same as the GTI. so he is full of it.

last gen CTS wagons were handsome cars, i always liked them. not so hot on the interior color, but i LOVED that red.

go for it. test drive the audi too. from what i hear, the caddie...idk why, but it feels a little cheaper then the audi... i personally havent driven one, but a few friends have. they said there was something that bugged them.

Ah carmax, i see. That explains everything. And this car is just an extended CTS and those cars rarely break down, are trouble free and i guess they know only fools would go for their warranty so it's included in the price. Another reason i hate carmax even though i maybe getting a job with them soon

well, you could always look at A3 TDIs . dat torque. dat fuel economy (i know EPA says it gets 36mpg, they are FULL of it. we consistantly break into the 40's, sometimes 50s on the freeway)

and, being a diesel, its going to last.
